Our Customer Liaisons are available Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm to assist the public with their housing questions. Recipients must apply to the agency for funding and meet specific criteria developed by state and federal law.ĪDOH provides opportunities for Arizonans to live in their own homes by developing and implementing funding options that lead to strong, vibrant, affordable communities. Most funding is geared toward lower income households and neighborhoods and the majority of agency resources are passed through in the form of loans, grants, tax credits, and other subsidies to housing partners such as for-profit and non-profit housing developers, local and tribal governments, public housing authorities, faith-based organizations, homeless service providers, and other groups who provide affordable housing and community services. The majority of ADOH programs are federally funded. Rather than building and owning housing, the agency manages programs that convey funding to community housing partners who, in turn, build and own the housing our state needs. The University of Arizona Honors Village features dorm and apartment-style housing for more than 1,000 Honors Wildcats.
